Storrs Pond Recreation Area

The Storrs Pond Recreation Area is right in Hanover and offers  Tent and RV Camping from Mid-May through Columbus Day. 

“Our camping area includes necessary amenities such as a bathhouse with hot showers at no extra charge (NO KEY REQUIRED FOR THE BATHHOUSE); electrical hook-up for RV’s no larger than 50 feet and a dump station. Sites have easy access to the hiking trails, pond and pool swimming, and the urban community of Hanover, New Hampshire,” the website said.

Loon Lake Campground

The Loon Lake Campground brings the peace and beauty of nature to guests by not allowing gas motors in the lake, allowing the lake to be crystal clear.

“We are a social bunch and enjoy horseshoe tournaments, pot lucks, dances, barbecues, moon lit kayak paddles, and beach bonfires,” the description on th eModern America Campgrounds website said.

VERMONT

Rest n’ Nest

In East Thetford, Rest n’ Nest “pleads guilty of extra large sites, quiet and relaxing atmosphere for those wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Swim our relaxing pool or enjoy our man-made, spring-fed pond. Children will enjoy our exciting playground and video games in our game room or play horseshoes outdoors,” the website said. Moose River Campground

The Moose River Campground in Saint Johnsbury offers a place to unwind with your family, friends, and pets.

Brewster River Campground

In Jeffersonville, Brewster River Campground offers guests an oasis where some have reportedly had their best night sleep in years, according to the campground.

“Enjoy the tranquil sight and sound of the river with its 20′ waterfall. Experience a truly dark night that will amaze you with the number of stars visible when there is no pollution from city lights. Evenings in mid-summer, the fireflies fill the meadow with twinkling lights,” the website said.
