2025 New World Festival favorites Skye Consort & Emma Björling return to Chandler for a special evening of trans-Atlantic chamber folk, drawing on musical traditions from Scandinavia, the British Isles, French Canada, and the New World.

The ensemble moves between whirling polskas, groovy reels, passionate love songs, and breathtaking hymns. Voices, fiddle, nyckelharpa, cello, bouzouki, banjo, and percussion come together in inventive arrangements and original compositions that connect folk and classical traditions.

Formed in 1999, Skye Consort began collaborating with Swedish singer Emma Björling in 2018. Their self-titled album won the 2020 OPUS Award for Best World Music Album. Their second collaboration, Ode & Ballade, explores the shared musical possibilities of Swedish, French, and English songs alongside original work.

The touring ensemble features Emma Björling, Seán Dagher, Amanda Keesmaat, and Alex Kehler. Together, they bring varied musical backgrounds to an intimate, imaginative performance that celebrates traditions across the Atlantic.
