This fall, The Lonely Days Are Gone: Community Square Dance Tour brings free concerts and square dances to historic town halls across Vermont.

Join fiddler, singer, and educator Ida Mae Specker, square dance caller Sarah Gibson, and The Ida Mae Specker Band at Brookfield Old Town Hall for an afternoon and evening of live music, dancing, food, and community gathering.

The day begins at 4:00 PM with a children’s folk music concert, followed by a potluck dinner at 5:00 PM. From 6:00–8:00 PM, enjoy traditional American string band music and a participatory square dance, with a community old-time jam to follow.

Participants will learn the basics before the dance begins, so no prior experience or partner is required. All ages are welcome.

The event is free and open to the public, with donations accepted.
