Delve into global geology as we look at the science and data behind plate tectonics. Using a collection of data rich maps we’ll explore some of the most tectonically active parts of the world from Hawaii to the Marianas trench. We’ll use the Montshire’s teaching collection of different rock types from across the country to understand how rocks can be transformed from one type into another through plate tectonics.
