Presentation on Supported Employment Services

Supported Employment Services in the Greater Upper Valley

The benefits of steady competitive employment include improved self-esteem, improved social networks, and increased quality of life (Luciano, Bond, & Drake, 2014). However, research suggests that of two-thirds of people with serious mental illness/intellectual or developmental disabilities, only 15% are employed. The Individualized Placement and Support program is an evidence-based model proven to be effective with supporting individuals with ASD/IDD/mental illness pursue and obtain their career goals.

Please join us for a brief virtual presentation on how Dartmouth Health's Individualized Placement and Support program can help reduce unemployment rates of those with ASD/IDD while helping connect local businesses with skilled employees in the Greater Upper Valley community. This presentation, and participation in the IPS program, is free and available to all individuals with mild-ASD/IDD and a desire to work! All interested individuals, stakeholders, employers, and community members are welcome to join us for this presentation.
