On a day for friends, family, and fun, guests can celebrate the 4th on the Farm with wagon rides through the fields, a chance to meet the farm animals up close, lawn games and crafts for the kids. Word enthusiasts can try their vocabulary in both youth and adult spelling bees. With an historic twist, this competition will be a test of 19th century vernacular. There will be a friendly, action-packed game of historic base ball. Visitors of all ages can join the team or cheer from the bleachers for one of the original American pastimes. Not up for competition or sport? Guests can enjoy the live music of gifted banjo and hammered dulcimer player, Tom McKenzie. TRAIL BREAK Taps + Tacos will be serving tacos, street corn, chips and salsa, draft beer, and margaritas for purchase 11AM – 4PM.
