Artist Reception and Poetry Reading: Saturday, May 14, 3-5 PM.

AVA Gallery and Art Center, located at 11 Bank Street in Lebanon, NH, is pleased to present a group exhibition in collaboration with West Central Behavioral Health inspired by Mental Health Awareness, May 2022. The theme is inspired by Emily Dickinson’s poem, “Hope” is the thing with feathers. Visual artists and poets were invited to submit work in themes reflecting on hope, and answering the question, what brings you light and lifts you up? Nineteen visual artists will be exhibiting work in the Carter-Kelsey Gallery and 8-10 poets will be included in the Community Poetry Reading event on May 14, from 3-5 PM. Featured guest poet will be Alice B. Fogel, former NH Poet Laurate. Exhibiting artists include Sally Bacon, Cheryl Betz, Lynn Bohannon, Courtney Brockett, Robert Chapla, Elizabeth D’Amico, Daniela Edstrom, Kate Fetherston, Erin Hanley, Lyn Swett Miller, Emma Percy, Evelyn Roberts, Linda Roesch, Jonathan Rose, Michelle Saffran, Heather Stearns, Barbara Stubbs, Jose Trejo-Maya, and Dana Zeilinger.
