On Friday, August 24, at 7:30 PM, The Uptown Jazz Tentet, A Juilliard Alumni Jazz Orchestra, will bring their swinging arrangements of jazz standards and original compositions to the Sawyer Center at Colby-Sawyer College. The Uptown Jazz Tentet is one of the most dynamic large jazz ensembles to emerge in 2016. Founded and led collaboratively by trumpeter Brandon Lee and trombonists Willie Applewhite and James Burton III, the band is comprised of ten of the most venerable and ubiquitous young sidemen in all of jazz.
