Fall is in the air, and that means dusting off your fall wreaths, lighting a warm candle, and enjoying the crisp fall weather. With the change of the season comes a number of fall festivals to ring in a favorite season for many. Here are a few to attend this year.

Killington Harvest Faire

On Oct. 10, Killington, VT, is holding its Harvest Faire with family-friendly and adult-only activities. .

“Throughout the day, we will have FREE children's activities including pumpkin painting, face painting, a bouncy house, hayrides, & more! In addition to children's activities, we'll have live music throughout the afternoon, an outdoor BBQ for all to enjoy, and a vendor village,” the website said.

For adults, there is axe throwing and, for those 21 and older, the crowd-favorite stein hoisting competition.

Claremont Brewfest

The Claremont Brewfest and 5K is returning for its 12th year with live music, local brews, and a friendly competition for the best brew on Sept. 19.

“From bold brews to good beats, and a friendly 5K to kick things off — it’s a one-day experience with something for everyone. Whether you're here to sip, cheer, or sample everything in between, the Brewfest is a can’t-miss event for the region,” the website said

Hanover Fallfest 

The Hanover Fallfest is happening on Sept 25. The family-friendly festival includes a touch-a-truck event, an activity fair, food vendors, a petting zoo, a hands-on cider press experience, and more. Learn more about the free event here.

Santa’s Village Fall Weekends

The last three Saturdays in September, Santa’s Village is holding its annual fall weekends event.

“It is a delicious special event celebrating the arrival of autumn and approaching Christmas!  Fall FEASTival special event dates; admission includes many of Santa’s favorite park foods in the cost of admission,” the website said.

Billings Farm and Museum’s Harvest Celebration

Billings Farm and Museum is holding its annual Harvest Celebration on Oct. 3 and 4. The event includes wagon rides, hands-on cider pressing, pumpkin bowling, apple tasting, and more. 

“The Harvest Celebration weekend would not be complete without seasonal treats! Enjoy apple cider donuts, hot cider, and pumpkin ice cream from the Farmhouse Scoop Shop, and be sure to taste Billings Farm’s award-winning cheddars!” the website said.
