The Montshire Museum of Science is celebrating 50 years this year!

Since opening in 1976, the  Norwich, VT, museum has grown and continues to teach guests about science in a fun and hands-on way, believing that “inside each of us there is a scientist, driven by curiosity and the allure of the unknown,” the website said.

The museum features over 150 hands-on exhibits relating to the natural and physical sciences, ecology, and technology. Outside the building, visitors can explore nature trails and exhibits on wind, water, and sound in the David Goudy Science Park.

To celebrate the milestone, the museum is staying open until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays in July for Twilight Tuesdays.
