If you’re looking to cool off, enjoy the outdoors, or just spend some time by the water, you’re in luck! There are plenty of beaches and lakes in the area to visit this summer. Not sure where to go? Here are four to consider.


Wiers Beach

Located in Laconia, NH, Weirs Beach is a no-lifeguard patrolled beach with bath houses open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting, according to the park and recreation’s website. Parking is paid for at parking kiosks. In addition to the beach, enjoy the amusement park, bumper cars, the pizza stand, gift shop, and more


Hampton Beach

Hampton Beach in Hampton, NH, has been around for years, bringing summer fun to all ages. Enjoy a plethora of events throughout the summer, delicious restaurants, sand sculptures, and more. View the upcoming events and plan your weekend getaway here.


Echo Lake

In North Conway, NH, Echo Lake has day passes for $4 for those 12 and older, $2 for kids 6-11, and free for those 65 and older and kids age 5 and younger. Season passes are available. According to the state’s website, this park is always open for recreation unless closed or restricted by posting. Learn more here.


Mascoma Lake

At Mascoma Lake in Enfield, NH, visitors can enjoy swimming, scuba diving, fishing, boating, and more. According to the town of Lebanon, NH, a “handicap Port-a-potty, picnic tables, and trash receptacles are available at the beach.”
