If you’re inspired by the warmer weather to open the windows, start your spring cleaning, and refresh the inside of your home, you might be wondering what the new trends are this year as you consider what to do. Well, according to Forbes, designers say there are trends that will dominate this year.

First is statement stonework and real stone. 

“While marble has long been a staple of luxury design, this spring marks a shift toward even more dramatic expressions,” Sally O’Connor of Hesellic Design C told Forbes.

Another design choice is “evolving quiet luxury.” This means a blend of colors instead of beige that “embody lived-in maximalism,” the website said.

Patterns are also becoming popular.

“We’re excited to see pattern returning in a meaningful way. For years, interiors leaned heavily toward minimalism, but designers are rediscovering the beauty of layering,” O’Connor told Forbes.

Colors, specifically earth tones, are becoming popular as they bring a more grounded feeling.
