Where To Take Out-Of-Town Family And Friends This Holiday Season

The holidays are fast approaching, which means that many people will be having visitors soon. If you’re looking for something to do while they are in town, here are some ideas:
Museums
Get exploring and learning with a trip to the Vermont Institute of Science, Montshire Museum of Science, Billings Farm and Museum, and the Hood Museum at Dartmouth College. Montshire Museum of Science for kids, American Precision Museum, and more.
Shopping
Get some peak antiquing while they visit one of the original 13 colonies, New Hampshire, or the 14th state to join the Union, Vermont. There are places to go throughout the state.
Another local shopping stop is the King Arthur Baking Company. The avid baker or last-minute Christmas shopper can get plenty of shopping done in the store—other hot spots: Lemon Tree Gifts, Dartmouth Authentic, and Simon Pearce Bar & Restaurant.
Local Attractions
Make a stop at one of the Ivy League schools: Dartmouth College. View the beautiful scenery with a stop at the Quechee Gorge or the White Mountains.
Restaurants
Warm up with a stop in at Lou’s Restaurant for some delicious hot chocolate. Grab a bite to eat at the Pine Restaurant, The Prince & The Pauper Restaurant, Little Havana and try some karaoke at Han Fusion.
Activities
Get active with a stop at Killington Resort in December to go skiing. Take a break and relax with a trip to the Woodstock Inn Spa.
