The Lebanon Opera House will once again play host to the largest and most prestigious mountain film festival in the world. The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour has hit the road with stops in more than 40 countries across the globe. The tour edition features hand-selected collections of the most inspiring action, environmental, and adventure films from the Canadian festival. It will be presented by Chestnut Mountain Productions on Friday, February 17 at 7pm.

At LOH, visitors should arrive after 6:30 each evening to hear Thai Alyward and Colin McCaffrey as they play a mix of fiddle and banjo music from various traditions including New England, Irish, and French Canadian. Traveling to exotic landscapes and remote cultures and bringing audiences up close and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports, the 2022 World Tour is an exhilarating and provocative exploration of the mountain world.

The film festival lineup includes Flow (2021, France, an aerial and symphonic journey with skier Sam Favret); The Fastest Girl in the Village (2021, UK, bike racer Khothalang Leuta); Nuisance Bear (2021, Canada, polar bears); Wild Waters (2022, Switzerland, kayaker Nouria Newman); Creation Theory (2022, USA, Westfjords of Iceland); Reel Rock 16: Cenote (2022, USA, Mexican papaya farmer); Free to Run (2022, USA, runner Stephanie Case); and Danny MacAskill’s Do A Wheelie (2021, UK, boundaries of the wheelie).
