Ligia has been interested in baking for years, making mason-jar cakes and taking special holiday orders. As her hobby grew, it turned into more of a business. When Eduardo and Ligia moved to Woodstock more than a year ago, they started considering the idea of establishing a bakery in this community. On November 11, their dream became a reality with the grand opening of their storefront called Splendid Bakes.

Splendid Bakes is a family-operated business. Even Ligia and Eduardo’s young children help out. They’re especially good taste testers! The next time you’re in the mood for something sweet, head on over to 4 The Green, where everything is baked from scratch. Try the mouth-watering cinnamon rolls, orange cranberry muffins, or tiramisu. You might even arrive to the smell of bread baking or quiches fresh from the oven.

Eduardo and Ligia are working to expand their current selections and create more space inside for people to sit and enjoy. Stop in and say hello anytime Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm or place a special order for an event or holiday.
