Head To The Ice Castles In North Woodstock, NH For A Magical Experience

Jan 04, 2023 02:06PM ● By Stephanie Hatley
Did you know that you can grow icicles? Well, maybe not you, but ice artists can! Construction began in November at the popular icy attraction Ice Castles in North Woodstock, New Hampshire. Every year, ice artists work diligently building this stunning spectacle one icicle at a time. First, they grow the icicles. Then they harvest the icicles and hand place them by fusing them together and spaying water over the castle. The work of art ends up standing around 30 feet in height.

When you visit Ice Castles, there are many more activities than gazing at the frozen fortress. Visitors can race down ice slides, explore ice caves and tunnels, and go snow tubing. In addition, the Winter Fairy Forest transports guests to a fairy tale, and the Mystic Forest Light Walk illuminates trees along a quarter-mile path. This year, guests can also enjoy alcoholic beverages at the new frosty ice bar called Polar Pub.

General admission pricing for Tuesday to Thursday is $20 for ages 12 and up and $15 for children ages 4 to 11. Weekend pricing on Fridays and Saturdays increases to $29 and $22. There may be tickets available on-site if they’re not sold out, but they may be more expensive. Grab your tickets online today to experience the magical wonder of Ice Castles!
