The ever-growing community of White River Junction has taken on yet another new eatery whose mission is to provide tastefully prepared lunches, fresh seafood, and hand-cut steaks along with house specialty items.

Funkalicious Market and Deli, located at 87 Maple Street, is a full-service meat and seafood butchery and deli that offers an eclectic array of foods including vegetarian wieners, house roasted beef, pastrami, smoked pork Cuban, curried chicken salad, chicken Larb (a Laotian staple), crispy fish, smash burgers, tater tots, funk balls, pork dumplings, hummus, Caesar salad, sun tea, fruit punch, lemonade, assorted sodas, and seltzer.

With over 35 years of restaurant experience, owners Dee Sonthikoummane, and Kevin Halligan grew up in Laconia, NH. Sonthikoummane is a first-time small business owner and Halligan, who studied at the New England Culinary Institute, has over 32 years of experience in owning small businesses.

“From freshly house cooked and cured meats, fresh seafood, house-made bread, and new and funky specialty sandwiches, Funkalicious is an experience you will never forget”, according to its website.
