Red Kite Candy is a brick and mortar family-owned business that began in 2009. Elaine McCabe had been creating amazing treats as a hobby for her whole life and decided to make it into the Red Kite Candy business with her family. They make all of their candy themselves with quality ingredients and the finest techniques. What first started as Elaine making each batch of caramel in a small pot on the stovetop has developed into a much larger operation to meet the demands of their loving candy fans. Even though they have, “grown beyond their wildest dreams”, they continue to infuse all of their candies with the same quality and spirit as before.

Although they might be known for their amazing caramels you can also find candy such as toffee, turtles, and nougat. Their toffee has a delicious buttery base that is hand coated with Belgian chocolate and sprinkled with almonds. The nougat you can find is made from local bees, egg whites from local chickens, and organic sugar. This is a wonderful version of the French classic, Nougat de Montelimar, sweet, chewy with lovely nut flavors with the roasted almonds and pistachios. The caramels are where the magic happens with their soft, buttery flavor as they melt in your mouth! The best selling flavor is Sea Salt. It is special to note that the caramel gift box is plastic-free and the inner bag is compostable.

At this new Red Kite Candy store in Hanover there is an on-site kitchen. The kitchen will allow them to create a great variety of new tasty treats focusing on small-batch limited-edition candies!
