Ava Gallery Holiday Exhibition & Open House: A Place to Find Unique Gifts

Nov 30, 2017 09:35PM ● By Linda Ditch
Every year, Ava Gallery’s Holiday Exhibition and Sale is the place to find wonderful and unique gifts, ranging from artwork in all media to handmade ornaments and fine jewelry. This year’s opening reception will coincide with their Open House and Lebanon’s Downtown Holiday Adventures on Saturday, December 2. Resident artists will have their studios open to the public, and there will be live music.

The mission of the AVA Gallery and Art Center (Alliance for the Visual Arts) is dedicated to promoting the visual arts through exhibitions and educational programs that nurture, support, and challenge New England artists and to providing art classes for children, teens, and adults of all levels and abilities. AVA’s programs—including special events that foster interaction among artists, patrons of the arts, and the community and emphasize sustainability—are dedicated to recognizing the ways in which art enriches our lives.

The schedule for the day includes:
  • 11am–4pm: Community Arts Open Studio (CAOS), featuring a free family drop-in program where kids can paint, make sculptures, and create holiday greeting cards
  • 2–5pm: Demonstrations in clay, metal, and wood
  • 5–7pm: Opening receptions, with the Holiday Exhibition and Sale and William N. Peabody: Seasons
The event is free and open to the public. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
