Enjoy The Holiday Décor & Beautiful Display of a "Victorian Children’s Playroom" at the Lewis House
Dec 17, 2015 05:33PM ● By Kirsten GehlbachToni Prince shares her thoughts about the exhibit and what it is all about—“Bringing beauty, showing longevity, and sharing what old has to offer.” Toni is an expert in antiques, and her shop, The Horse and the Bear, focuses on unique American art, furniture, and accessories of the 18th and 19th centuries. She loves to share her own collections, which draw in younger people and motivate them to become more involved in history. “This gives me such joy,” she explains. “When different people see this, school children see this, when a student becomes so engaged in history, this brings joy, defined as the beauty you find in nature, in art, in horses, in beautiful things.” Toni generously shares her beautiful antiques on display through the end of December at the Norwich Historical Society.
In this season of joy and giving, the Norwich Historical Society encourages visitors to bring a canned good of any kind for the Upper Valley Haven food shelf. For each item donated, visitors will receive a raffle ticket to win a copy of Norwich, Vermont: A History (a $29.95 value) as part of the 19 Days of Norwich (and beyond), 1% for the Haven.
