AVA Gallery and Art Center will hold its annual holiday open house this Saturday, December 2, from 11 am - 4 pm, followed by an opening reception for our Holiday Show and Sale from 5 - 7 pm. Between our named galleries and The Bank Street Gallery at AVA, well over 150 artists and craftspeople working in a myriad of different mediums are offering their work for display and purchase in our 6 first-floor galleries. Upstairs, on our third floor, Gallery 3@AVA features the work of resident artists who rent studio space at AVA, many of whom will have their studios open to the public that day. Our open house will include demonstrations by artists and craftspeople in both our Carter-Kelsey Building and the Bente Torjusen West Sculptural Studies Building all day. There will be music recitals, a poetry reading by Duncan Holley, and a fun collage and button making free-for-all on our second floor for most of the day. Our family-friendly CAOS (Community Arts Open Studio) will be held from 11-4 in our Schleicher Children's Studio. There will also be a raffle for free memberships and Mudroom tickets too!
