This ski season, follow Vermont artist Carrie Pill for a special project called “A Painted Tour.” In partnership with Ski Vermont, this project invites Carrie to both ski the 20 alpine ski areas served by Ski Vermont and then paint the locations themselves. A professional oil painter, Carrie lives in Rutland, Vermont and uses the beautiful scenery and adventures of skiing and mountain biking to create her work. Her notable projects are featured in the Vermont Institute of Natural Science, Rutland Regional Medical Center, Long Trail Brewery, and Northern Woodlands magazine.

Through this particular project with Ski Vermont, Carrie is able to combine her love for skiing, writing, and painting in her home state. As she visits these ski areas, she’ll ski and paint and then post about her adventure at each stop. If you’d like to keep up with her work, you can follow Carrie on Instagram (@carriepillart) or Facebook (Art by Carrie Pill) or visit her blog at carriepill.com. You can already view her adventures at stop 1 at The Beast in Killington and stop 2 at Saskadena Six in South Pomfret. Check out her beautiful work and her love for Vermont!
